For Christmas this year my mom bought me Ruth Reichl’s My Kitchen Year and I love it. I love Ruth in general and all of her food memoirs but this cookbook is fun and easy and filled with great photos and stories. Food52 did a review of it and compared it to another new cookbook, against which My Kitchen Year won! So some real people with real knowledge about these things also think the book is great. I recommend the sriracha shrimp and coconut rice because its easy and delicious! Check it out.
